A Lil' Sugar

I can't believe it is March!!! February just flew by, it really was such a wonderful month!

Quick recap on what all happened...
- My BEST FRIEND got engaged...which I got to help pick out the ring, which was so special to me and am so excited for her!!!
- Jon surprised me with a Valentines Day Weekend getaway...amazing!
- My cousin's from Chicago, IL came for a visit...had so much fun!
- My littlest brother, Harrison, came in for a surprise visit to celebrate me and my other little brother's b-day...was so surprised and happy!
- I turned 29...ekkk in my last year of my 20's!
- Baby bump finally made a debut as I reached 20 weeks...so in love!
- I am half way through my pregnancy...we can not wait to meet this lil babe!

Since February was so sweet and full of love I thought we should start March out the same way with some Sugar Cookies! I found this recipe here and these cookies really were so yummy, yum!

Happy March, hope it is off to a sweet start!

Grandpa's Chili

The hardest part of living in Arizona for me is not the heat, but the lack of seasons. Yes, it cools down in Fall & Winter, but there are no crisp Autumn days surrounded by beautiful trees with leaves in every warm color tone. I MISS MIDWEST FALL!!! I just want a damn crisp Fall day! Since that is not going to happen anytime soon I decided to just pretend it was a cool crisp day...inside by cranking the AC, putting on a sweater and cooking up some chili.

The only chili I ever had growing up was my Grandpa's Chili. I never met my mom's dad, he passed away while my mom was pregnant with me. I always feel like when I make his chili that I did meet him and it is really special to me. It really is the best chili and my mom may kill me for sharing his secret recipe, but I think the world deserves to have a taste! So here it is world, you're welcome!

I hope you enjoy as much as my family and I do!
